Cairo University Model US Congress Program

Since 2003, ACYPL has hosted annual delegations of students participating in the Model American Congress Program at Cairo University, Egypt.  Funded by the US Embassy in Cairo, each year the program provides a select group of leaders of the Model American Congress with a direct understanding of the United States Congress through an intensive 2-week program in Washington, DC.  Their study tours include meetings with members of Congress, their staffs, congressional support agencies, members of the private sector, and officials from the two main political parties.  The programs culminate with a fellowship in a Congressman or Senator’s office on Capitol Hill.
