Active Citizen Summit 2.0 kicks off today
In partnership with the State Department, Bureau of Near East Affairs we are pleased to welcome 18 young leaders from across the Middle East and North Africa to Chicago for the Active Citizen Summit 2.0. The Summit will incorporate unique opportunities for fellows to explore relevant topics and engage in professional development around the theme of youth entrepreneurship. The program officially starts tomorrow with remarks from Near Eastern Affairs Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, Richard Schmierer; Secretary Kerry’s Special Adviser on Global Youth Issues, Zeenat Rahman; and Steven Koch, Deputy Mayor of the City of Chicago.
