[US to Vietnam + Myanmar ’14] Delegates visit victims of Agent Orange
While our delegates were in Vietnam they had the opportunity to visit the Vietnam Friendship Village in Hanoi to meet with children and veterans affected by Agent Orange. The nonprofit provides temporary housing and critical services for those affected by Agent Orange, a toxic blend of tactical herbicides (recognized as one of the most lethal substances ever produced) that was used by the US military to destroy crops, forests, and mangroves during the Vietnam War.
Check out this video from Vietnam and the World detailing the group’s emotional visit to the organization’s facility with generations who have been affected.
