Applications open: fall 2015 Professional Fellows Program

03-02-2015 posted by Acypl

ACYPL is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for the fall 2015 Professional Fellows Program [PFP]. We are looking for political, policy, and civil society leaders between the ages of 25 and 40, from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam to participate in a 6-week intensive fellowship in the United States.

The 2015 PFP is linked with the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI), an initiative that was launched by President Obama in 2013 which consists of promising young leaders aged 18-35 years from the ASEAN region.

After a brief orientation in Washington, DC, fellows will travel to another city in the US for a 4-week fellowship centered around the US legislative process and governance, while also engaging in topics of professional interest. All fellows will receive guidance from an ACYPL alumnus, with the goal of strengthening their understanding of American governance and creating substantive follow-on projects to implement upon their return home.

*Fall program dates: October 3 – November 13, 2015

The deadline for applications is April 15, 2015.
